Who we are
Rebecca bagged her first mountain at eight - around the age she set her heart on becoming a journalist. She’s been doing her best to combine the two ever since, working on programmes such as BBC Wales’ Weatherman Walking and ITV’s Coast & Country and notching up four walking trails books. After several years as a staff reporter at the South Wales Echo, Rebecca worked as a freelance for many national titles before founding Chatterbox in 2016. Rumours that she chose our Taffs Well office solely for its view of Garth Mountain are completely founded.
Eve is one of our canny wordsmiths, so words are her bag*. With a talent for cutting through the hyperbole (big word), she loves to get to the heart of the message and help our clients communicate in a clear, engaging and approachable way. Despite having lived and worked in the Big Smoke, Cardiff girl Eve now spends her days happily working as a freelance marketing consultant and copywriter, mostly to support her coffee habit in and around Roath.
*although actually, bags are also her bag. And shoes as well, come to that.
Journalist Kim began her career in London on the staff of several women's magazines before being drawn back to Wales to go freelance when she started her family. When she's not working, you'll find her walking in the countryside with her cocker spaniel, admiring trees and bees (don't ask: she's a fan of both), playing tennis or going to the theatre. Kim is a firm believer in the power of a good night's sleep; so much so that she's written a book on the subject - 222 Ways to Trick Yourself to Sleep - published by Piatkus in March 2019.
On top of a mountain, backpacking or volunteering abroad are when Ashleigh really feels complete. After travelling in Kenya, Asia and Australasia, she's now settled in Wales with her west Walian husband and delved into the world of self-employment as an administrative assistant running Syml Admin. Sounds boring? Not to her, and not for Chatterbox! On the verge of completing her MBA, Ashleigh’s on a mission to improve Welsh business owners’ efficiency and effectiveness through the implementation of robust and repeatable systems. Phew - we’ve never been so streamlined!
